Small habits have big Impacts
Sep 17, 2023Over 10 years ago I started a habit of writing down 6 daily affirmations to help ground me in getting better every day. I got a notecard out, wrote them down, signed and dated them. They helped me in my career to manage my motivation, stay positive, and believe in myself in demanding times at work and at home.
My 6 affirmations were:
- Eat Right and Feel Great
- Exercise Daily and Have High Energy
- I am constantly getting better and better
- I do the homework necessary to succeed
- I am positive and constructive in all I do
- I am 100% responsible for my life
If I had to have a 7th, I would add "Have a little faith". First you just have to believe things are going to work out OK in the long run. Secondly, I'm a believer in a higher power, happen to be a Catholic, and participate in my faith on a regular basis. I can confidently share with all of you that I wouldn't be here today without my faith, and His grace and love watching over my life.
However you manage your motivation, or the stories you tell yourself, I would recommend being consistent, positive, and aspirational. Find a message and a process that works for you and I'm certain success and fulfillment will come your way.
